Controlling 100+ subprojects inside ITER's diagnostics programme
Challenge
ITER is a multi-decade fusion programme spanning seven international partners. The diagnostics work package alone covers more than 100 interdependent subprojects within a programme valued around €500M, running toward 2035.
Approach
We established planning, scheduling and cost control across the full subproject portfolio — including an EVM-based KPI framework to ANSI/EIA-748 — and managed the interfaces between seven international Domestic Agencies.
Outcome
On programmes measured in decades, success is sustained control, not a finish line: schedule and cost held against baseline across 100+ subprojects, with delivery continuing toward 2035.
